"Yes I have HIV" tv show gets a Zimbabwean version

  Zimbabwe is going to have its own version of the show “ Yes I have HIV” launch on the DSTV, Honey channel in June. The show will FOCUS on people living with HIV, providing insight into the challenges and success faced by these people on a daily basis. “This will be a fascinating and inspiring series and it will help remind us all that there are many people living with HIV who need our support and encouragement,”said Liz Dziva, MultiChoice Zimbabwe spokespersons as she made the announcement. The show’s host is going to be Phyllis Mavushe, who was born with HIV and who believes the show will make a difference in the community. “Phyllis is the perfect fit for a show which helps people share their HIV-positive status with their loved ones for the first time. The Writers Guild Of Great Britain holds an awareness to support the writers strike in Hollywood

  Standing with the 11 500 striking writers in America, the Writer Guild of Great Britain (WGGB) on Wednesday joined writer and other workers in the media sector for a day of “ Screenwriters Everywhere.” “Screenwriters everywhere” was a global day of solidarity with striking Hollywood writers. The protest which took place in central London was to support the 11 500, members of Writers Guild America West and Writer Guild of America East (WGA), who have been on strike since May 2. Diamond rush movie " Ngoda" gets positive reviews

  The 2023 Zimbabwean diamond rush film, co-directed by long time collaborators Joe Njangu and Edie Sandifolo is receiving positive reviews from critics. The movie which is based on the 2008 diamond rush had a Harare exclusive premier in March then Bulawayo. It has been received warmly by critics and the audience that managed to watch it. One site, the 3-mob.com described it as a “surprisingly inspired and gripping drama of incremental tragedy.” A comment that paid tribute to the movie’s handling of drama and the dark tones it. “It is driven by the sheer force of performances by a well put-together cast, seemingly cherry-picked for specific roles for which they exploited their varying skills,” They wrote. “As an ensemble, this is probably one of the best collective we have seen for a while,” they added. Despite the now recognized faces of the students like Tafadzwa popularly known as Tsvakai, who play these, some likable and some unlikable characters, a few actually know the brains behind the series. Though his face is not seen on the screens at home, his impact is definitely seen through the course of the story.
